June 28, 2022 by Joey Birch Kick Game Shutdown Paris Fashion Week With La Maison Last weekend, we headed to Paris for the annual Paris Fashion Week in partnership with La Maison to celebrate the prestigious event and connect with the EU community. Located in the heart of Paris, we had the opportunity to showcase the luxury shopping experience that Kick Game offers whilst allowing guests to connect, relax and see some of the biggest grails in sneaker history. We had the pleasure of hosting the pop-up alongside Mission Statement Magazine (MSM), a multimedia bi-annual publication that provides commentary on youth culture, primarily Gen-Z, in a variety of aspects and viewpoints including art, fashion and diversity. Established in 2019, MSM has tapped into the surrounding culture in a fresh, unique way. With wall-to-wall grails, live music courtesy of Keyrah, Jamo Beatz and Tariq, drinks and a masseuse, the event drew the attention of an incredible crowd. Hosting the Parisian locals and international visitors, in addition to making way for some of the biggest names in the music industry including Headie One, M1llionz and Knucks representing the UK and Gazo, 13 Block, thaHomey and Sainté attending from their home nation. As well as being an event, the pop-up served as an exhibition for some of the biggest grails in the industry. For us, we wanted to create an experience for visitors, one that they’ll never forget. We aimed to curate a selection of rare and highly sought after pieces including Nike Mags, a full collection of Air YEEZY 2s in addition to an exclusive look at the Nike x VLONE Paris Fashion Week exclusive sample sneakers. “It was amazing, to be honest”, says Ayat El-Zein, Head of Partnerships at Kick Game, “I think we left a mark in Paris. We went to try and launch our presence in Paris, especially for those interested in fashion. I feel that it was achieved well, we worked with a lot of homegrown artists, and invited them to our space. It was definitely the place to be in Paris that day, everyone was coming by and hanging out it was really good”. Reflecting on the events, Daniel Nti, Head of Brand says: “It was amazing to make waves in a different country, especially somewhere as prestigious and well respected as Paris. It’s a huge step for us as a brand, holding a pop-up during Paris fashion week. It shows where Kick Game is going in terms of being a staple within the sneaker and fashion industry as we endeavour to become modern tastemakers.” Check out what went down and keep up with the latest Kick Game events via our socials by clicking here.
